Spoiler Alert! There will be a new character moving into the Arconia, the Upper West Side building that Only Murders in the Building fans know all too well.
The return of Hulu’s hit series will see the addition of major star power for the upcoming season. Three-time Oscar-winner –Meryl Streep will be joining the cast as confirmed by her now co-star, Selena Gomez.
Gomez took to Instagram earlier this week, captioning a reel sharing: “I could cry. season 3 is coming!”

Steve Martin also posted about the surprising addition of The Devil Wears Prada star to the cast on social media.
He uploaded a black-and-white photo to Twitter of him, Streep, Paul Rudd, Gomez and Short all sitting together on set and smiling.

Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy-drama TV series.
The series follows three strangers played by Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, who plays Mabel Mora with a shared interest in true crime podcasts who join together to investigate a death in the apartment building they all live in.

A Season 2 Recap
In season 2, the trio themselves become suspects in the bloody murder of another building resident where the finale saw Glenroy die on stage while performing in a Broadway play opposite Charles and directed by Oliver.
Season 2 featured guest stars, Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer.
What’s in Store for Season 3
Season 3 will pick up as Charles, Oliver and Mabel work to figure out who killed Ben Glenroy. And, Paul Rudd, who played Ben Glenroy for two episodes last season, will make a return.
Meryl Streep’s Role
It’s unclear right now what character Streep will play in the new season, but the fans cannot contain their excitement.
When Selena posted her video on TikTok, one fan commented: “OMG!!!! Iconic,” and we couldn’t agree more.
