Happy 77th birthday Dolly Parton!
The ‘Jolene’ singer not only turns 77 today, but also just recently announced that she will be continuing her line of frostings and baking mixes. On top of that, there are also new music collaborations in store for us too. Miss Parton truly is the gift that simply keeps on giving.
In a recent press release, Parton said, “I’m really excited to launch more baking mixes steeped in my Southern roots, like cornbread and biscuits. I think folks are really going to like them and hope they’ll bake up some special memories with family and friends.” This was followed by a post on her Instagram just yesterday with the launch of her new Duncan Hines products collection.

Parton also just announced her upcoming Rock n Roll album which will feature some of the greats. Artists such as Cher, Pink, Elton John amongst others, and then naturally also her goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

Her duet with Miley on Wrecking Ball is also confirmed to be on the album.

The 77-year-old singer also appeared on The View this week for an interview and hinted at a possible new song to be launched on her birthday. She said:
“This year I’m going to give the public a gift, I had a dream about God standing on a mountaintop saying, ‘Don’t make me have to come down there.’ So, I get up and I write this song, trying to draw attention to what’s going on and what we can do to help.”

Parton further went on to share that she hopes this song helps people —in light of the new year just kicking off— to become better versions of themselves, inspire them, and give them that helping hand.
Who says your dream stops at any age? 77 and she is still going stronger than ever.
