All the glitz and glamour were brought to this year’s not red, but champagne-carpeted Academy awards! For the first time since 1961, the Oscars did away with the classic red carpet and brought out a shimmering, soft nude colour for the stars to walk on. Of course, this didn’t change the beauty and elegance that our stars served at one of the most prestigious awards in film.

Just look at Sandra Oh in this orange mustard draped gown! The Greys Anatomy star looked effortlessly regal on the carpet at the 95th Oscar Academy Awards, proving that sometimes, simple hair and makeup really does create such a beautiful overall look. The red lip was the perfect cherry on top, making the mustard tones of the dress really pop!

Miss Delevingne was the epitome of regal in her breathtaking red ballgown. The structure and dramatic shoulder details relay such an expensive look and feel, which is what the Oscars are all about. Fabrication is such an important element to pulling off such an exquisite look.

Best actress winner of the night, Michelle Yeoh, looked majestical in this soft white gown. Very indicative of her personality, this beautiful look was perfect as she walked the carpet on her winning night.

Winner of the best supporting actress award, Jamie Lee Curtis stunned in a champagne sparkling gown, with sleek shoulder pad detailing. Paired with simple make up and her icy blonde/grey hair, her look was the perfect ensemble to collect her Academy Award in.

The fashion icon of the night was most certainly Oscar nominee Angela Bassett. This purple on her skin tone was such a marvellous colour choice. The way this dress drapes over her body, shapes and accentuates her curves in all the right places. The simplicity yet intentional details in the gown is just breathtaking and well deserved in terms of the best dressed of the night.
