‘Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,’ writes Jennifer Lopez in her latest newsletter On The JLo. Of course she is talking about her love story with Ben Affleck, which started way back in 2002. Because this past weekend there was a wedding and now, JLo and Ben Affleck are married!
A Las Vegas wedding
The long awaited Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck wedding was not a day of fanfare and the usual celebrity drama. In fact it was a totally low-key Las Vegas wedding. In On The JLo, Jennifer writes:
Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world…
We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).’

It was a small and intimate ceremony, but ‘exactly what we wanted,’ Jennifer notes. As for the witnesses, it seems only JLo’s twins Maximillian and Emme, as well as her mother were present. But now that JLo and Ben Affleck are married it is rumoured they will throw a celebration party in Georgie, reports ELLE.
The wedding outfits
The photos that Jennifer Lopez shared on her newsletter reveals two wedding dresses. The first: a simple white tea-dress we see in a video by hairstylist Chris Appleton. ‘I’ve had this dress for so many years and I’ve just been saving it, saving it, saving it,’ she says in the video as she twirls. ‘And now I’m wearing it on my wedding day.’

Before the ceremony, she then changed (in a break room according to her newsletter) into a veil and bridal gown by Zuhair Murad – the designer behind the exquisite Marry Me wedding dress.
Ever casually handsome Ben Affleck donned a jacket from his own closet. The newsletter features a sweet quick video of Ben in the pink-tiled men’s room of the Vegas chapel, where he changed for the nuptials.
It’s Mrs. Affleck now
Now that JLo and Ben Affleck are married, it seems the singer and actress has decided to switch her name! So is she no longer JLo? We are unclear whether Jennifer will be changing her name in a professional capacity, but she did sign off her newsletter Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck!
