If anyone was going to show off their latest pregnancy in the most glamorous way possible, it had to be Met Gala co-chair Blake Lively attending one of the most prestigious Forbes events of the year.
No words were needed in declaring the news of baby number four with Ryan Reynolds, just a gorgeous Valentino glimmer number and the accent of a budding bump.
It’s not often that a Valentino number is the second most talked about visual at an event, but in this case, it was.
Lively attended the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit in her honour, where the first public pictures of her cradling her baby were captured.
The event, which is dedicated to “pivotal change” Moira Forbes hosted the powerhouse event that brought some of the most influential women to the forefront of paradigm-shifting conversations.
Could there be a more groundbreaking event for a bun in the oven to feature at?
Per Elle, Lively made an allusion to her pregnancy, sharing “I just like to create. Whether that’s baking or storytelling or businesses or humans, I just really like creating.”
The heels, the headband and the subtle reference to her baby on the way gave nothing short of Serena van der Woodsen in her mom-era energy. Sorry Blake, with that headband and those platforms, a Gossip Girl reference was just waiting to happen.
Lively and Reynolds, who are already parents to three daughters, welcomed their youngest in 2019. The couple have beyond their individual successes, achieved viral love from the internet for their personalities, quirks and relatability (especially in parenting).
