Best Oriental

A warm, amber-floral fragrance with notes of truffle, gardenia, orchid and jasmine, with a dry-down of rich patchouli and sandalwood. It’s opulent and luxurious, and smells uniquely different on everyone. It’s a captivating fragrance that turns heads, and although on the heavier side, we found it great for any occasion, or season.
Best fruity floral
Oscar de la Renta Bella Essence 50ml EDP
Like flowers in sunlight, this scent is sparkling, cheerful and feminine. Top notes include juicy raspberry, red currant and grapefruit, making the first whiff almost effervescent. Vanilla and rose sit at the heart, while a musky base ensures it stays warm. A light-hearted, romantic fragrance perfect for any occasion.
Best unisex
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Media Cologne Forte 70ml EDP
This unisex fragrance not only screams summer, but has the unique ability to dry down surprisingly warm. At first it’s crisp and clean, making use of verbena, bergamot and hedione, but the we found the notes of fennel the most intriguing. If you enjoy earthy, green fragrances with a fresh twist of zest and licorice, this one’s for you – or your partner. But we promise, you’ll not want to share this one.

This subtle but sophisticated scent is perfect for the office or that lunch date. With fruity top notes of apricot that dry down into a soft woody warmth, it’s an unassuming fragrance at first, that becomes more addictive on every wear.
Most innovative fragrance
Jo by Jo Loves Fragrance Paintbrush
This is the epitome of who Jo Malone is – a sparkling, full-of-life fragrance that speaks volumes. It’s citrus-forward, accompanied by black pepper, vetiver and mint, but the best part is the cleverly designed paintbrush. Best solid perfume
A solid perfume is a great way to subtly scent skin without creating an overpowering sillage. Simply warm with fingers, or apply directly to skin on heat points. We love the warm, soothing fragrance of this one – with notes of eucalyptus, chamomile, rosemary and rose geranium in a moisturing base of beeswax and jojoba.
Best light body fragrance
Playgirl VIP New York Night 50ml EDT
A light fragrance with a sophisticated blend of fresh, vibrant notes. Lychee and lime sits firmly in the top notes, while praline, musk and vanilla creates long-lasting sweetness. It has just the right amount of sweetness without being gourmand, yet it’s still light enough to spritz all over.
