Ingredients
- 1 bowl of your favorite dip (Caramelized onion dip recommended)
- Selection of preferred cheeses
- Handful of pomegranate arils
- 1 teaspoon za'atar (optional)
- Assorted crackers
- Handful of roasted nuts
- 1 cup olives
- Assorted fresh fruit (grapes, lychees, oranges, berries, etc.)
- Assorted fresh vegetables (baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, radishes, etc.) Bacon-wrapped dates (amount as desired)
- Cured ham slices
- Salami sticks
- Slices of salami of choice
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare the bacon-wrapped dates by wrapping each Medjool date with a strip of bacon. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and golden.
While the dates are baking, begin assembling the board: Arrange the ham, salami sticks, and salami slices on a large serving platter.
Add a variety of cheeses, followed by a generous scattering of roasted nuts.
Intersperse the selection with an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, creating a visually appealing mosaic of colors and shapes.
Once the bacon-wrapped dates are cooked and slightly cooled, add them to the board.
Place the bowl of dip centrally on the board for easy access. Garnish the dip with pomegranate arils and a sprinkle of za'atar for a Middle Eastern twist.
Serve immediately with an assortment of crackers on the side.
Enjoy the medley of flavors that this Apéro Board brings to your table, perfect for sparking conversation and delight at your next social affair!
