Davina McCall, 47, is our cover star for the February issue. She presents several reality TV shows like This Time Next Year and Long Lost Family.
Davina is also the woman behind the online fitness service called Get Fit With Davina.
Her secret to maintaining her bikini body? A combination of exercise and cutting out refined sugar.
“I am sugar free,” she says. “Although I eat fruit and sometimes some honey.”
Even though she fronts her own fitness videos, exercise doesn’t come easy…
“I’ve always got a million other things I should be doing than exercise. There’s work, sorting things out for the kids; I want to be a good wife and make nice food for the family. But exercising is something I do just for me, and even though I don’t look forward to it, the minute I’m doing it, I think ‘I love this’, and I’m proud of myself for doing it.” – Davina
Find out more about the lovely Davina McCall:
Here are 3 things you didn’t know about Davina:
1. Davina has her own Long Lost Family story. Eleven years ago, Davina’s cousin Claire, who was adopted, went looking for her biological mother whose name was Sheila McCall – Davina’s aunt. Obviously, when Claire found her mom she got a cousin in the bargain, and the two get along like a house on fire.
2. She recently renewed her wedding vows in Las Vegas. Davina’s still head over heels in love with her husband – the two have been married for 17 years. Last year, the couple renewed their vows at a spontaneous Vegas ceremony, in the company of their three children, who also wrote the vows. How romantic!
3. Plastic surgery isn’t off the table. Even though she looks incredibly good for her age, Davina’s not against sneaking off to France sometime in the future for a ‘holiday’. If she comes back wrinkle- free, it’s all for the better.
