After seven years off air, Top Billing is returning to South African television. The country’s longest-running lifestyle and entertainment programme will premiere its comeback season on Thursday, 30 April 2026 at 7pm on S3, with repeats airing every Sunday at 1pm on S3 and every Tuesday at 9.30pm on SABC 1.
The show left screens in 2019 after an impressive 27-year run, having become the definitive destination for South African audiences seeking the best of the good life — luxury homes, dream weddings, aspirational travel and the kind of local success stories that made viewers feel anything was possible.
New faces, fresh energy
The original executive producer, Basetsana Kumalo, has confirmed that brand-new presenters will be joining the show — though the channel is keeping their identities under wraps until closer to the premiere. “There are brand new faces joining Top Billing, and I think you’re going to love them. Trust me, this is next level,” she said in a video shared on Instagram.

The new season will spotlight young, urban, intelligent and culturally aware South Africans who are shaping the future through creativity and collaboration — a conscious evolution of the format that honoured a glossy aspirational era while speaking directly to today’s audience.
Patience Stevens, Managing Director at Cardova Productions and Executive Producer of the revival, described the return as both a tribute and a refresh. “This show has always been about celebrating what’s possible. Bringing it back now, at a time when inspiring local stories matter more than ever, feels incredibly special.”
