34-year-old singer and songwriter, Jessie J, took to Instagram with some very exciting news over the weekend! The pop star was elated to announce that she’s expecting a baby. The news of Jessie’s pregnancy comes just over a year after her miscarriage in September 2021. Now, the mama-to-be is all smiles, sporting her baby bump to fans and followers on socials.

The singer made the announcement on Instagram on Friday, sharing a video with snippets of her pregnancy journey so far. We see clips of the pop star flaunting her baby bump, and we catch a glimpse at the scans of the little baby bun on the way.
Jessie captioned her post:
“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this…Please be gentle with me”.
The news comes a year after the singer announced her miscarriage in November of 2021, which must make the journey more daunting for the performer. However, the support and love she received from her post was nothing short of incredible, with fellow celebs like Kelly Rowland, Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding all sharing their congratulations.

In her post, Jessie confesses: “Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”
Days after making the announcement, Jessie went on to post another video sharing the reality behind all the excitement, which includes her first trimester struggles.

As the highs and lows of her pregnancy come and go, the star says she won’t take any portion of her journey for granted. She also added:
“It feels so strange to be on this side, after being told I would never get pregnant, to pregnancy loss, to then being pregnant and how quickly it is all happening.”
She concluded:
“I know I have been blessed with the biggest gift I will ever receive and I pray more than anything you get yours. However, that looks.”
We wish her nothing but the best on this journey, and cannot wait to see what amazing things the little one will do.
