With every week inching closer towards Christmas, the festive spirit has come out to play. If you’re like me, you’ve already whipped out the decorations and you’ve picked out your wrapping papers, but have you thought of doing festive nails?

Many of us like to glam it up over the festive season, but it isn’t always easy to find festive nail inspiration that isn’t over-the-top (OTT).’ I don’t want literal baubles painted on my nails, I see enough of them already. Candy cane-esque is always a go-to, but we’re looking for something special, and sophisticated.

Let’s dive into some festive nail inspiration fit for Christmas lunch, and beyond:

Gorgeous golden moments

Gold is a colour synonymous with Christmas! Add a touch of glitter and you’re ready for a luxe festive affair. Here are some of our favourite golden moments that don’t overwhelm:

A hint of golden shimmer at the base of the nail boasts subtle elegance. Achieve the same look with golden leaves across the nail. Golden leaves are included in most nail techs’ artilleries.

We’ve already seen the magic of green and gold, it’s gorgeous, but bold. If you love the colour combo but want to keep it more subtle, nail art is the way to go. Focus on designs that don’t cover the nail, but still look cute.
