Marise Pollard has marked a sweet family milestone, sharing a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her daughter Isabella Tanya Pollard as she turned six months old on 20 April. The wife of Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard described their youngest as the kindest and softest little girl, and wrote with characteristic warmth about the way Isabella has changed the rhythm of their home.
“You showed up in the chaos and just occurred as if you were always part of us. You changed our rhythm in the most beautiful way. Our days are fuller, louder and softer all at the same time,” she wrote. “It is the greatest privilege to be able to be your mommy, dearest Bells.”

A busy season for the Pollard family
The six-month milestone comes at a particularly full moment for the family. Isabella’s brother, Hunter Andre Pollard, turned two years old on 25 April — meaning the Pollards have been navigating the joys and demands of two children under two for the better part of a year. With Hunter now two and Isabella six months old, that particular chapter officially closes.
Handre and Marise have been together for more than 13 years, having connected through Facebook in 2012. They married at Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands in 2017. The Pollards are among several Springbok families who have welcomed new arrivals over the past two years, alongside Faf and Mine de Klerk and Eben and Anlia Etzebeth, who have each grown their families during the same period.
