Nonku Williams has never been the kind of woman to do anything halfway, and her recent stay at her partner Lungani Rammaledi’s homestead in North West was no exception. The Real Housewives of Durban star fully leaned into rural life this week, swapping her usual city polish for a pinafore, a doek and a wooden spoon — and by her own account, loving every moment of it.

“When love arrives everything’s effortless. Stirring pots, tending crops and rocking traditional attires with a smile — all fuelled by a love that fuels me,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside images of herself in full makoti attire at the homestead.
Best of both worlds
The visit also took a more adventurous turn when Nonku climbed aboard a tractor for a ride through the fields — a image that her followers found, understandably, quite delightful. In another set of photos, she and Lungani posed casually at the back of a van, she in jeans, boots and sunglasses, he in navy overalls, the two of them looking entirely at ease with each other and the surroundings.
“City girl trying to farm. Who knew I’d trade heels for gumboots,” she wrote. “The best of both worlds.”

A love that feels like an answer
For Nonku, the joy she has found with Lungani carries particular weight given the difficult chapters that preceded it. She has spoken previously about an abusive marriage and a painful public split, and her relationship with Lungani represents something she has described in deeply personal terms.
In a birthday message to him, she wrote: “You were the unexpected answer to prayers I didn’t know to pray, a divine surprise that has become my greatest blessing. Your love is a balm to my soul, a reminder that I’m seen, heard, and loved.”
This week’s farm visit, documented with warmth and humour, was simply the latest chapter in what appears to be a relationship doing her a great deal of good.
