Family support in Paris
Smith is in Paris alongside his mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, and sister, Willow Smith, with the family spotted attending shows and making fashion-forward appearances around the city.
According to international reports, Pinkett Smith was seen stepping out in a black leather puffer jacket layered over a black hoodie and blue jeans, drawing attention for her understated yet bold street style during the week.
Louboutin announces historic appointment
Christian Louboutin announced Smith’s appointment as the brand’s first-ever Men’s creative director four months ago. The reveal came via a stylised, Asian-inspired video highlighting the maison’s iconic red colour.
In the clip, Louboutin is seen stirring red paint before handing a paint-dipped brush to an unseen figure, later revealed to be Smith.
“Maison Christian Louboutin is pleased to welcome Jaden Smith as the first Men’s creative director,” the brand said at the time.
Louboutin described Smith as a natural fit for the house, praising his multidimensional creative world, cultural sensibility and openness.
“I felt that with his creative direction, our men’s collection would evolve in an exciting and dynamic way. He feels like the perfect addition to our creative team,” Louboutin said.
‘A creative home’
Smith previously shared his excitement about the role, describing the collaboration as an organic meeting of minds.
“Merging my vision with Christian’s comes quite naturally because we see the world in a very similar way,” he said. “There’s a shared respect for creative freedom, and I think that’s why it works.”
He added that the position represents more than a title.
“It isn’t just a title – it’s a creative home. Christian has given me a place to explore, to learn, and to create freely. I want to honour the past while shaping the future through my own perspective.”
Smith’s Paris Fashion Week debut signals the beginning of a new chapter for Christian Louboutin’s menswear, as well as a significant step in his evolving creative career.
