Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have shared the joyful news that they have become parents for the first time, confirming they have welcomed a baby girl through adoption.
A new chapter for the couple
The Stranger Things actress, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, announced the news on Instagram, writing: “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were three.”

The couple, who began dating in 2021 after connecting on social media, secretly married in May 2024. Later that year, they held a celebration in Italy with family and friends, where Brown wore two bridal gowns. Both Brown and Bongiovi shared photographs of their wedding day, describing each other as “forever and always” in heartfelt captions.
Parenthood has always been important to Millie
Brown has spoken openly about her desire to start a family from a young age. Appearing on the Smartless podcast earlier this year, she reflected on how much her own mother and grandmother influenced her decision. She said she had always imagined herself becoming a mother in her early twenties, just as her mum had done.
While acknowledging her career ambitions as an actress and producer, Brown explained that family life has always been a priority. “Jake knows how important it is to me. Of course, I want to continue building my career, but starting a family has always been something I’ve looked forward to,” she said at the time.
Plans for a big family
Brown also revealed that both she and Bongiovi hope to raise a large family, as they each grew up with three siblings. She explained that adoption has always been something she considered a natural part of that journey, noting that raising a child through adoption feels no different to her than having one biologically.
Earlier this year, Brown shared another personal detail, saying she hopes to shave her head again when she becomes a mother, describing the experience as “liberating”. For her, the symbolic act represents starting a fresh chapter in life.
Looking to the future
Now, with the arrival of their daughter, Brown and Bongiovi are embracing the early days of parenthood. Although they have asked for privacy as they settle into life as a family of three, the couple’s announcement has already been met with a wave of warm wishes from fans across the world.
