Mel B has officially said “I do”! The former Spice Girls star married her longtime partner, hairstylist Rory McPhee, on Saturday 5 July in a stunning ceremony held in the Crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral in London — the same iconic venue where Princess Diana married Prince Charles.

The bride, 50, was joined by a glittering guest list that included fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton, comedian Alan Carr, Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan, Daisy Lowe and music mogul Simon Fuller. But it was her three daughters — Phoenix, 26, Angel, 18, and Madison, 13 — who played the most special roles, walking by her side as bridesmaids.
The celebration continued at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard, where guests toasted the couple at a reception high above the London skyline.
Mel, who received an MBE in 2022 for her advocacy work around domestic violence, was eligible to wed at the historic cathedral — a rare honour. “It’s a big deal because not many people are allowed to get married there. You have to be kind of special,” she shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year.

The America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League judge wore an ivory custom gown by Josephine Scott for the ceremony before changing into a second look by designer Justin Alexander. And in a sweet nod to her girl group roots, Mel previously revealed that fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham had designed another dress for her big day — along with one for her mother. “It’s such a beautiful honour to get,” she said during a January appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna.
Mel and Rory’s love story began six years ago, and the couple got engaged in 2022 during a romantic getaway to Berkshire. “There were rose petals everywhere, a log fire, a hotel — which was Cliveden. It was very romantic,” Mel recalled on Celebrity Gogglebox. “He said, ‘I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’”
Though Mel once swore off marriage after two divorces, she’s spoken openly about how McPhee helped restore her belief in love. Speaking to People last year, she said, “I was like, ‘I’m never getting married again. Never, never, never.’ And then… never can say never, can you?”
From a Spice Girl in the spotlight to a bride beaming with joy, Mel B’s wedding day was a celebration of resilience, romance and starting over — this time, with someone who’s known and loved her from the beginning.
