In a celebration of beauty and purpose, Opal Suchata of Thailand was crowned the 72nd Miss World during a star-studded finale held on Saturday in Hyderabad, India.
Making history as Thailand’s first-ever Miss World titleholder, Opal emerged victorious at the culmination of a month-long festival across Telangana that showcased culture, philanthropy, and female empowerment.
The coronation took place at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, where 108 delegates from around the globe gathered to compete in challenges rooted in the Miss World values of intelligence, compassion, and purpose.
Opal received the crown from Krystyna Pyszková of Czechia, Miss World 2023.

The Thai beauty also topped the contest’s multimedia leaderboard, with over 2.3 million views.
The final night was co-hosted by Miss World 2016, Stephanie del Valle, alongside Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, with performances by Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter adding glamour to the global spectacle.
After several elimination rounds, the Top 4 continental queens were announced: Hasset Dereje (Ethiopia, Miss World Africa), Aurélie Joachim (Martinique, Miss World Caribbean), Maja Klajda (Poland, Miss World Europe), and Opal Suchata (Thailand, Miss World Asia & Oceania). Each finalist faced a final jury question that tested their poise and vision.
Miss World Chairwoman Julia Morley CBE praised the 72nd Miss World beauty queen: “Opal has shown us that she is more than a winner – she is a woman of purpose, with a voice that the world is ready to hear.”

In her first speech as Miss World 2025, Opal said: “This moment is not just a personal victory, it is a shared dream of every young girl who wants to be seen, heard, and create change. I am honoured to represent this legacy and use my time as Miss World to make a real difference.”
The 1st runner-up was Hasset Dereje from Ethiopia, followed by Poland’s Maja Klajda and Martinique’s Aurélie Joachim.
Other continental winners included Krishnah Marie Gravidez from the Philippines (Miss World Asia), Jessica Pedroso from Brazil (Miss World Americas), and Jasmine Stringer from Australia (Miss World Oceania).
