News of Anlia and Eben Etzebeth expecting their second child arrives a year-and-a-half after the Bok couple welcomed their first baby.
Springbok champion Eben Etzebeth and his wife, who recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, announced on social media on Monday morning that they will be welcoming a second child.
After their first child’s birth in January 2024, the couple are looking forward to expanding their small brood and welcoming another baby girl.
The announcement was shared by the couple in a joint post on Instagram on Monday morning. They wrote:
“Baby Etzebeth #2 on the way! Can’t wait to welcome our little wild flower girl!”
The couple shared the exciting news with a family photo. Anlia sports a baby bump with a toddler at her hip, with Eben in all-smiles at her side, teddy bear in tow.

While the couple have not confirmed a due date for baby number 2, it could be possible that the ‘little wild flower girl’ (as the pair so affectionately refer to her as on social media) will be welcomed in Spring this year, in alignment with South Africa’s wild flower season.
