Healthy green tea cup with tea leaves

Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and most importantly, it is high in the amino acid L-Theanine. But green tea can taste bitter, which can leave you not wanting another cup. However, you can enjoy your tea by following these two tips:

Don’t use tea bags – Due to the production process, more tannins are released resulting in a bitter taste. It is the equivalent of instant coffee.

Tip: Rather use loose-leaf tea or a 100% ground tea- leaf powder
Don’t steep your green tea too hot and for too long as this will alter the taste.

Tip: Green tea likes much cooler water, steep your tea for three minutes max.

There is a vast range of green tea to suit your taste preferences, such as Matcha, Sencha, Genmaicha, Dragon Well (Longjing), Gunpowder, Jasmine Green Tea and Moroccan Mint.

Now, go enjoy your cuppa!
