Anyone who has, or has had a toddler in their life knows that their ideas and inspiration can be as adorable as they can be questionable.
I’ll never forget asking my 3-year-old cousin what he wanted to be when he grew up, only to hear him say “a lion.” Well, I thought, at least he’s got aspirational goals.
However, for one little girl, Pey, the hero that will inspire her Halloween costume this year is none other than Mfundo the courier man – an adorable ode to her excitement of seeing her pal transporting endless gifts (courier packages, but we won’t tell Pey that they’re not free).
As shared by the little one’s mother, Jane Kilian, the pair are “besties,” and Mfundo is her favourite courier man. Jane owns a small business, GI Jane SA, and so sending out parcels to customers is a big part of her job, and Mfundo a regular hello.
After Jane shared a photo of the duo, she received Pey’s ultimate gift.
“They are besties always [talk] over the wall when he collects parcels or delivers and Monday was the first time she got to see him in the garden as I had so many orders going out he had to drive in. So I took a pic and posted it.
And [Courier Guy] saw it and emailed me to send her a gift! This was only the second time they’ve seen each other so close and not over the wall like Rapunzel.
Guess what she’s dressing as for Halloween!”

It’s incredibly refreshing to see a tiny tot inspired by someone who works in a demanding and often thankless job, and we’re definitely here for this wholesome content.
And, if you make an order from GI Jane SA, you might get to meet Mfundo too (and grab some awesome content while you’re at it like her ‘My Legacy’ book).
