If you have watched Vogue’s much-loved ‘Beauty Secrets’ series on YouTube, you’ll know that some celebrities have some pretty extreme beauty routines. You’ll be glad to know that down-to-earth South African Maye Musk is not one of them.
This month, the model and mother of Elon Musk got ready with Vogue and shared some insight into how she keeps looking so divine at 73.

As a dietician, Musk takes looking after herself seriously, with what she eats, moving her body (she still takes her dog out for a walk) and a thoughtful skincare regimen. While there’s nothing too crazy about her skincare routine, Musk has clearly invested in really good products. Her cleanser and serum are both Dior, she applies a renowned lifting and firming mask and uses a La Mer Lip Balm. It’s easy for us to get caught up in all the latest products but she is proof that taking it back to the basics, as long as your basics are great quality, is what your skin really wants!

Musk’s wealth of information continues when it comes to sunscreen – it is an absolute must! When it comes to hair, she notes how, ‘Many women are scared of going grey, but I wasn’t. I was scared I’d never model again…But as you see, it opened up the whole field of modeling.’
