The liquid hair trend is everywhere on the red carpets lately. It is not wet hair as the name would suggest, but simply a sleek, shiny straight, almost reflective look. The look of the hair resembles flowing water, hence the name.

3 tips to get the liquid hair trend look
- Use an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner
Anti-frizz products ensure a sleek look, without the possibility of flyaways.
- Use a microfibre towel or cotton t-shirt to dry your hair
Microfibre towels are super absorbent, meaning that they will dry your hair extra fast. To top it off, the microfibre will eliminate any frizz to give you a sleek pressed look. If you don’t have a microfibre towel, you can use a cotton t-shirt as an alternative. Cotton t-shirts are great for dry hair, as they don’t catch onto strands and they absorb water, without overdrying the hair.
- Use a smoothing serum
Smoothing serum is great for the liquid hair trend as it contains silicone, which coats the hair, avoids frizz and gives it a smooth finish. Some serums even contain hydrolyzed proteins, counteracting static charge. Hair serums also give hair extra shine and promote shiny, glossy hair, which is what the liquid hair trend requires. Hair serums also protect the hair as a result of coating, which will be necessary after all the heat you will apply to your hair in order to achieve this look.
