A place where old-world elegance and new-world bravery collide, Brookdale’s wines spark interest while they dance on the palate, underpinned by lesser-grown Mediterranean varietals, a unique Paarl terroir and unusual winemaking techniques.
Guests are invited to discover and taste the Brookdale and Mason Road wine ranges, produced by Brookdale’s talented young winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer – one of just a handful of female winemakers in South Africa.
The Bistro and Tasting Room offers cosy indoor seating close to a roaring log fire, and on sunny days, enjoy dining on the wide terrace overlooking the vineyards.
Executive chef Gary Coetzee is at the pass, presenting a seasonal menu that offers something for every taste, featuring fresh and wholesome dishes that honour international cuisine in a South African style. He describes the style of the food as ‘chic bistro’, with produce sourced locally to provide a conscious balance of choice for meat lovers and vegetarians alike.
Brookdale believes in the art of memory-making. Elsewhere on the estate, the elegant Manor House features tranquil gardens, stylish interiors and six spacious suites, complete with all creature comforts for those wanting to turn a lunch or dinner date into an unforgettable overnight experience.
