For this project, Dani, a talented local creative, better known as Dash_of_Dani, uses a familiar favourite toy as inspiration to refresh a toddler’s room, to create something comforting but new.
Dani transforms the room by using two harmonious hues, Misty Cliffs and Little Karoo, from Duram’s Habitat Colour Collection to create a scalloped edge feature, turning a plain wall into a playful focal point.
She achieves the scalloped edge by using a Duram 5L paint pail lid to trace perfect curves with a pencil before simply painting on her two colours. No tricky stencils, sticky tape, or unnecessary stress.
She also uses Duram’s luxurious Satin Touch that is wipeable, washable, and stain-resistant – the perfect paint for children’s rooms, play areas, and high-traffic hallways.
The final look is effortlessly charming, playfully modern, and wonderfully calm.
