- 100g Dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 25g Unsalted butter
- 2tbsp Golden syrup
- To begin, put 100g finely chopped dark chocolate along with 25g unsalted butter in a heatproof bowl above a pan of gently simmering water, making sure the bowl isn't touching the water. Add 2 tablespoons golden syrup and leave to melt together.
- Once you've added a splash of water, everything should start melting together nicely. Don't be tempted to stir it at this stage. Make sure you just leave it as it is until the chocolate cubes have completely melted. Once this has happened, whisk it all together until you have a thick glossy sauce.
- Once it reaches this consistency, you can pour over ice cream, fruit or any dessert of your choice!
