Breathing life back into ballroom, Burn the Floor: Fire in the Ballroom is a groundbreaking project that has been two years in the making. Along with the same rebellious Latin American spirit that Burn the Floor has become synonymous with, the new show also boasts an array of mind-blowing costumes, from a sensual burlesque feel to a more ‘theatrical rock’ look.
Dancers have been handpicked from around the world, including South Africa.
Pretoria-born Kylee Brown fits right in with the critically-acclaimed cast. The undefeated WDC SA Under 21 Latin Champion shines on stage, along with fellow South African, Johannes Radebe.
Making his Burn the Floor debut as a fully-fledged cast member, Johannes – who’s best known for being on Strictly Come Dancing SA with celebrity partner Leigh-Anne Williams – steals the show.
With the crowd cheering on home-grown talent as they move to the sounds of Christina Aguilera, Led Zeppelin and Beyoncé, it’s tough to resist the urge to dance along.
