28-year-old Suritha Alting, a makeup artist from Cape Town, was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds to her body in the Richwood area over the weekend.
As reported by IOL, Suritha was walking home from a restaurant close by at around 2.40am, when she was robbed of her belongings and stabbed multiple times.
“SAPS members received a complaint and on arrival, they spoke to two security offers who were standing with the injured unknown female…An ambulance was contacted and the woman was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment where she later died due to injuries sustained,” says the police.
The murder is being investigated by Bothasig police.
“Suspects and motive [are] unknown at this stage.”

A memorial service took place at De Zicht Estate in Richwood. Attendees brought flowers and candles to mourn Suritha’s death.
