Let Cresta Shopping Centre make your festive season magical this year!
A magical festive performance by Amakhonto We Sintu
Don’t miss the talented Amakhonto We Sintu choir on Saturday 21 December! From 11h00-13h00 the sweet sounds of these vibrant artists will entertain young and old alike. Find them at the FNB Court (lower level), Aquarium Court (lower level) and Upper Level Food Court.
Keep the kids entertained with workshops
Cresta Shopping Centre has once again partnered with the Johannesburg Academy for Theatre Arts (JATA) to host kids classes in diverse forms of dance, singing and storytelling.
The JATA Holiday Club will run from 9-21 December near the Upper Level Food Court next to Mugg & Bean. Children can be dropped off from 08h00 and picked up by 13h30. The classes will run from 08h30– 13h00. Classes are presented by accredited teachers and industry professionals. This feature will be a hit for parents who want to focus on festive shopping without having the little ones see what “Santa” is getting them for Christmas.
For ease and convenience, parents can pre-book via email at [email protected] or book directly at the venue with one of the onsite facilitators for R250 per class.
There will also be individual hour long classes in the afternoons that can be booked directly at the venue for R50 per class. Parents or guardians will be required to stay with their children during these classes.
After successful sessions last year, Young Engineers will be back at Cresta Shopping Centre this year. Their Young Engineers Holiday Programme is suitable for children 6 years and older. Young Engineers offer engaging, hands-on learning activities using uniquely designed LEGO® and K’nex® assembly kits. The activities are fun and fashionable.
Young Engineers will be available at Cresta Shopping Centre from 9-22 December offering 1.5 hour sessions at R100 per session. Parents can book directly online at youngengineers.betterbook.co.za.
Bring the little ones to Cresta Shopping Centre between the 14th and 24th of December and let them explore their creativity at the Kids Festive Crafters Workshops. There will be tons of awesome crafting activities to keep those busy feet still these holidays. Find the craft elves in the Banking Court during Mall Hours.
Give back this season
This time of year is all about giving, which is why Cresta Shopping Centre has made giving back so much easier with their Charitable Festive Tree.
This kindness corner (near the Volpes Court, next to FOOOD Cafe) is a bookshelf tree and reading corner that allows shoppers to donate new or pre-loved books. The books will be donated to the Abraham Kriel Bambanani children’s home and the Robin Hills Primary School in the Cresta Community.
Moreover, shoppers can also donate preloved or new educational materials and toys such as building toys and picture books to stimulate learning and development.
Children’s stories will be read to those looking for a moment to pause and relax in between shopping. The times are 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00.
Take a selfie with Santa
From 14-24 December, from 11h00-18h00, Santa will be at the FNB Court (lower level) to hear what festive wishes your kids have. You can even take a picture and create unforgettable memories for just R30.
Put a bow on it
From 18-24 December, let the Cresta Shopping Centre elves gift wrap all your prezzies for free! The gift-wrapping station will be at the Volpes Court (lower level) and Mugg & Bean Court (upper level).
