Air fryers have become a staple in most homes, all thanks to how easy they are to use and how many different meals you can quickly whip up. But, if you thought cooking in your favourite kitchen accessory couldn’t get easier, think again. With these air fryer accessories making meals and even a wide range of desserts can get a whole lot easier.
Air fryer liners
The first accessory on this list has to be airy fryer liners. Sometimes, cleaning up the residual oil and grease can be an absolute pain. But you can avoid this task altogether with liners! These pre-cut sheets not only prevent sticking but also make clean-up a breeze. Simply toss the liner, and voilà.
There are a few options out there – from perforated, or baking-sheet style liners, to silicone liners. And, most times, any shape can fit your air fryer.
It’s important to remember that these awesome little machines act as convection ovens and need airflow to cook your food properly. I’ve found that you may need to cook your food a touch longer to ensure it’s not raw before dishing up.
Silicone baking cups
If you didn’t already know, you can bake in your air fryer!
With the right accessories, like silicone baking cups, you can whip up little cupcakes, mini-cakes, and even pies. Or, if you’re creative, you can use these little cups or moulds to make eggs.
Yup. You read that right. You can make delicious, perfectly cooked eggs in your air fryer.
Other than scrumptious baked goods and yummy breakfasts, silicone baking cups or trays also make cleaning null and void.
An air fryer rack
You can now get air fryers with double trays – or if you’re anything like my family and their obsession with air fryers, have two. But, if you don’t want to splurge unnecessarily on a second air fryer or replace your current one, you can always use an air fryer rack to cook multiple things at once.
The right tongs
When it comes to air frying, the right tongs can make all the difference. Whether you’re delicately flipping delicate pastries or ensuring that your perfectly seasoned veggies get an even tan, precision is key. A pair of long, heat-resistant tongs with silicone or rubber heads can save your hands and your non-stick air fryer basket.
While air fryers are renowned for their healthier cooking approach, a touch of oil can make a real difference. Especially when you’re cooking up some French fries or trying to keep your crumbed chicken from sticking to the basket. That’s why an oil sprayer – or a spray oil – is on this list.
Not only can it help prevent sticky situations, but a mist of oil can add a nice dash of flavour to your meal.
