We know January budgets are tight, and you may not be too keen on shopping for new work wear. Wouldn’t it be great if you could just continue wearing your holiday clothing? We say you can! Our fashion team have gathered some of our favourite holiday pieces, with office-appropriate ways to wear them. Now you can make your wardrobe go the distance, while saving some money.
The Loose Tunic
That tunic you’ve been wearing as a pool cover-up all holiday long? Throw it over tailored pants and add a belt for some structure. All you need are some serious heels to show you mean business.
The Floral Maxi Dress
Think you can’t wear your maxi dress to work? Think again! A blazer can transform just about any dress. This cape-blazer is the perfect topper. Paired with chunky heels, you’ll be a breath of fresh air in the office.
A floral kimono is a vacation must-have, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it to work. It’s a good alternative to a blazer when you want a more relaxed look. Pair it with cropped pants (stripes earn you extra points!) and a classic shirt. Finish it off with modern mules.
The Strappy Tank
A strappy cami can be worn all year long – the key is layering. Swap your shirt for a feminine silky cami and give your suit a refresh. With a burst of colour, those Monday meetings don’t have to be boring.
The Summery Skirt
Push the classic pencil skirt to the back of your closet this season and reach for a bold skirt instead – whether it’s a bright colour or print. Go for an usual pairing – dusty pink shades look amazing with yellow. Take it up a notch with a snakeskin print blouse and ditch the flats in favour of a classic pointed heel.
