A jacket or knit can sometimes get a bit boring after the first month of winter, right? With our beautiful South African weather, some days may start off freezing cold, but it always gets a little warmer with the sun shining its way through the cold. The most important thing to remember is to wear pieces that are easy to remove without totally altering your look. Our fashion team has put together three different ways how you can layer like a pro!
A sleeveless puffer makes for a perfect overlay, it’s easy to throw on or off depending on how you feel. A detailed sleeve top with a pop of colour is great for this type of layering. Sling over a coat that’s loosely fitted to show off the detail of your neckline and to allow space for the layers.
The trick is to find a thin layer with a neck detail to wear with a thicker layer on top. A colourful polo neck works perfectly! If your coat and dress hem line up, all the better for you – this is a beautiful layering look.
Two jackets mean you’re adding a contrast to your look, but it’s very practical (and warm). A denim jacket is a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe because it’s great for any type of weather. Wear it under a parka jacket and show off your layers.
