It’s inevitable for a woman to go through menopause but there are ways to make the process easier and more comfortable. Instead of wearing the same style of clothing because you’re self-conscience about your body, try dressing in a way that compliments you and helps disguise the problematic areas you don’t like. Take a look at our tricks to disguise your menopause waistline…
Always choose vertical stripes over horizontal ones. This sneakily tricks the eye with the lines going from top to bottom rather than from side to side, leaving you looking slimmer with an elongated figure.
Cinch In Your Waist
Opt for a pleated skirt that’s full and flared out at the bottom or try high waist pants that immediately cinches in your waist, creating an hourglass figure. The best part about these styles – they’re printed!
Show Some Skin
When covering up your tummy, show off another part of your body. Find a part of your body that you’re comfortable with – it may be your shoulders, hands or your legs. This takes the eye away from your problematic area and focuses it on an area you are more comfortable with.
Play with dark and light tones and use it to your advantage. A darker colour over a lighter version will create a slimmer silhouette by showing more of a shaded colour.
