Although New York Fashion Week has passed, the highly anticipated event is still the talk of the town. After much debate, our fashion team finally agreed on their top runway looks from the show. The dazzling outfits were put together by three of our favourite high-end fashion brands, and we just had to re-create the look to show you how easy it is to draw inspiration from the runway, and transform your wardrobe into everyday elegant pieces.
Look 1: Kate Spade
After an uber-trendy look this season? Match your dress to your accessories! Yellow is definitely the colour for spring. Kate Spade finishes off this gorgeous look with strappy heels and over-sized sunglasses.
R3 990, Prada at Sunglass Hut. Available in store.
R329, H&M. Available in store.
Look 2: Tom Ford
Go full monocrome with this black and white inspired look. Pair a white skirt and blazer with a touch of lace for understated elegance. Underwear as outwear? Yes you can! Wearing a lace cami underneath your blazer is an easy way to dabble with the trend.
R249, 32 to 46, H&M. Available in store.
Look 3: Marc Jacobs
Flaunt your frills! Marc Jacobs has gone totally over-the-top with this chiffon and satin frill blouse and sequins trouser. If you’re not feeling as adventurous, opt for a sequins detailed trouser and a more subtle top (but still with the frills!)
