Instead of packing away your cute summer floral dresses, why not make them work for winter? As South Africans we’re lucky that our winter isn’t full of snow and rainfall and we can push the boundaries with what we wear during this colder season. With a few clever styling tips you can make even the most summery dress winter appropriate. Take a look at these three ways to wear your summer dress this season.
Throw a top layer over and show off the bottom of the dress – creating a whole different outfit. Find a sweater with a neck detail and a similar neckline to the dress. Pair with ankle boots and bright earrings.
2. Add On
This look can be adapted in many different ways, but the most effective way is to pair the dress with a longer length cardigan – a darker colour helps the dress pop a little more. Add a scarf and some knee high or mid-calf boots.
3. Under Toned
Find a bright colour turtle neck to wear under your dress – this works best if you have a low or V-neckline dress. Wear a statement belt with a few layered necklaces.
