Tucked away in the leafy suburb of Illovo, this bistro-style eatery serves exquisite Italian-Mediterranean style dishes.
The food
The menu includes a range of mouth-watering seafood dishes, as well as chicken, veal, and beef. However, if you like pasta, you really can’t go wrong. We recommend the linguine with prawns, rocket, chilli and tomato – it’s simply superb. The prawns are juicy and sweet, and the sauce is not at all oily, something which many restaurants have yet to perfect.
Specials and desserts change weekly to ensure freshness so be sure to ask your waiter about these. Luckily, the waiters are extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine, offering excellent recommendations based on your likes and dislikes. When available, the chocolate fondant is a chocolate lover’s dream.

Décor & ambience
With its white linen tablecloths, moody lighting, and wicker chairs; Bellagio is a classy, fine-dining restaurant with a relaxed ambience. It’s cosy and stylish, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a lunch date with friends.
Prices are not unreasonable for what you get (R155 for a chicken schnitzel), with seafood dishes being on the higher end of the scale. Portion size and flavour, however, ensure that you get real value for money.
