We’re giving away 5 sets of double tickets to Kamers/Makers 2018 in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Kamers/Makers team is making 2018 their “Year Of The Open Hand,” because they believe that being all about handcrafted goods is what sets them apart from other shows.
Each of our shows is “handmade” in the sense that every show offers something different.
To that end they are unveiling two brand new venues for our Autumn Shows – St Joseph’s Marist College in Rondebosch, Cape Town from 28 February – 4 March and St David’s Marist Inanda in Sandton, Joburg from 25-29 April.
These venues offer stunning historic buildings to which they will bring that inimitable Kamers/Makers twist – 150+ Makers selling everything from hand-carved wooden bow ties and hand-turned wine-barrel furniture to hand-crafted porcelain jewellery and hand-spun scarves.
Kamers/Makers has a proud record of launching new SA artisan entrepreneurs into the consumer market continues with dozens of never-before-seen Makers being showcased at each venue.
Mzansi Makers, their non-profit initiative, got off to a fine start in 2017 with five successful projects up and running, and at least a further half-dozen scheduled and funded for 2018.
Fans of Kamers will be pleased to hear that afterr countless requests from the dedicated shoppers of Bloemfontein, Kamers/Makers is returning at the end September. Watch this space.
