Now in its 17th year, the South African Cheese Festival is where cheese lovers unite to celebrate their shared obsession with the food. This award-winning outdoor event takes place from 27 to 29 April 2018, on Sandringham Farm, just outside the dreamy town of Stellenbosch.
Set amid the breathtaking Cape Winelands, the South African Cheese Festival is sure to be a fun-filled day with the family.
Start off at the Checkers Cheese Emporium on the Dairy Square and browse the vast selection of cheeses available for you to purchase, from all of the well-known brands to delicious handmade, boutique cheeses.
Observe the pros, as well-known SA chefs – such as Jenny Morris and Pete Goffe-Wood – whip up delectable dishes at the Agri-Expo Cooking Pot. Then visit the Cape Made: Taste the Alternatives display on the Meander, which offers a range of food products, like pomegranates and olives, that pair perfectly with cheese.
To recover from all the walking, head to the Carnival Park for lunch at the Gourmet Lane, while the children check out the Kiddies Corner.
Before returning to your lovely guesthouse, relax in the shade and watch as popular SA entertainers perform live at the Stellenbosch Vineyards Music Gazebo.
This month, you can win tickets to the amazing South African Cheese Festival with a four-nights’ stay at Life & Leisure Luxury Guesthouse in Stellenbosch, valued at R17 080.
