The first half of 2019 has been nothing short of amazing for KAMERS/Makers with thousands of handpicked, handmade local products being showcased at their various autumn shows.
Their new Cape Town venue, the majestic Jan van Riebeeck High School in Gardens, proved to be a great fit for SA’s original artisan ‘up’-market. Working with key partners from the Cape Town tourism industry ensured a big uptrend in international visitors to the show. After Cape Town it was on to St David’s Marist Inanda in Sandton for their first Joburg show of the year.
These two shows have already launched over 70 new Makers – many of whom reported record sales, and now it’s on to the Spring/Summer addition of this popular event…
Late August sees KAMERS/Makers returning to St John’s College for a much-requested second Joburg show. A further 60+ never-before-seen Makers will be introduced at the show, plus more than 100 previous favourites in a bumper spring celebration.

Gala Moonlight Market
The St John’s College show will be opened with a four hour champagne preview event on 27 August. Be first to enjoy this full show from 4-8pm. All ticket sales will go to the St John’s teacher intern programme Realema, which focuses on growing tomorrow’s teachers through this excellent programme.
Partnering to Increase Sustainability
Since partnering with Consol Glass KAMERS/Makers have, to date, taken 100,000 plastic bottles out of circulation through their popular Curvy glass bottle giveaways. Consol Glass will also be unveiling their pop-up shop at the St John’s event and this will be an ongoing feature at all future shows.
For their first spring/summer show of 2019, KAMERS/Makers will return to Stellenbosch at the scenic Blaauwklippen Vineyards before they will be closing off the year with the Irene event at Cornwall Hill College in Pretoria.
