We’re giving three Cape Town based winners 25kg worth of laundry (wash, iron and fold).
Drought is a harsh reality in the Western Cape, and to avoid the dams running dry, more needs to be done to curb our daily water consumption.
One area of water usage that is difficult to cut back on is laundry. Regular washing machines use up to 50 litres of valuable drinking water per cycle.
Considering that each person is only allowed to use 87 litres per day, that’s simply too much!
Green Planet Laundry has developed an innovative solution to the problem.
Unlike other Commercial Laundries, the Cape Town based Green Planet Laundry does not tap into the city’s precious municipal water supply. Instead, they make use of purified borehole water.
That means that absolutely no tap water is used to do your washing! In addition, 98% of the borehole water used in the process is recycled and reused.
The water is purified by means of sophisticated ozone technology, which requires less detergent, and leaves laundry softer, noticeably brighter and free from viruses and bacteria.
Green Planet Laundry is based at Airport Industria, but offers a door-to-door collection and delivery service, so customers don’t even have to leave the house to get their washing done.
They service the greater Cape Town areas from Strand to Paarl, to Duynefontein to Cape Point.
