A few days ago, I made my way to BluBird shopping centre in Athol Oaklands for a special treatment at the Laser Beautique. I don’t usually get facials, but I was blown away by how incredible the Advanced Pro Peel Treatment felt, and the warm, personalised service.
What is the Advanced Pro Peel Treatment?
The Advanced Pro Peel Treatment is a specialised medical treatment that assists in rejuvenating your skin, leaving you feeling fresh and glowy. When you undergo this treatment, you’ll enjoy a pressure point massage, alternating cryo- and thermo-therapy, LED therapy and a healing rose quartz treatment.
Some of the products include:
- Lactic Acid 10% – exfoliates, encourages skin cell turnover, and helps reduce fine lines and discolouration.
- Mandelic Acid 10% – a natural skin brightener that helps to target blemishes, discolouration and wrinkles while minimizing irritation.
- Salicylic Acid 10% – resurfaces skin texture and prevents future blemishes and clogged pores.
All skin types can benefit from this treatment. Although, the Laser Beautique does recommend this skin treatment that is:

The Laser Beautique experience
Apart from the wonderous treatment (which yielded results almost immediately), the entire Laser Beautique Experience blew me away.
The second you step into the space; you’ll feel instantly feel relaxed. This feeling is only exemplified when you’re ushered into the treatment room. Here, your esthetician walks you through, in detail, what the Laser Beautique is all about, and the treatment you’re about to undertake.
The consult includes an in-depth aftercare routine; in the case of the Advanced Pro Peel Treatment, though, it’s a gentle cleanse before bed and some sunscreen if you head outside.
During my time with Tina, I learned what exactly my skin needs and how I can better take care of it after my treatment. I also learned a few extra things about skin in general and that sunscreen is the ultimate anti-ageing product! (I guess Baz Luhrmann was onto something).
All in all, I walked away with fresh, dewy skin and a wealth of knowledge. The Advanced Pro Peel Treatment, while a peeling facial, didn’t feel too rough, and I did experience some peeling on the driest spots on my face. This is to be expected though.
