When it comes to fashion, winter weather calls for layering on as many cosy items as you can manage, but when it comes to foundation, no one wants to have to sport a thick base – let’s face it, ‘cake face’ looks good on no one.
Enter the latest alternative to your heavy foundation so that your skin doesn’t have to feel suffocated even when the temperature dips.
So trust Chanel to have the answer to our beauty dilemma thanks to their new Les Beiges line, their first water-fresh tint, which uses the microfluidic technology found in their skincare in a new foundation with a nude skin effect.
The Les Beiges Eau de Teint Water-Fresh Tint enhances natural beauty and is lightweight, hydrating and instantly refreshing. Composed of 75 per cent water, ‘it is worn like a subtle and undetectable second skin,’ says Lucia Pica, Chanel’s global creative make-up and colour designer.
According to Chanel’s website, ‘the tint has been created with micro-droplets of encapsulated pigments that melt into the skin on contact creating a radiant bare-skin effect. A blurring and smoothing effect unifies the complexion and a lightweight, sheer coverage allows the skin’s natural beauty to shine through’. Sounds amazing to us!
Priced at R1 110 for 30ml, a little goes a long way with this product and you also get an ergonomic brush with your purchase, which blends the tint effortlessly into skin for an even and natural-looking result.
Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint comes in five shades: Light, Light Deep, Medium, Medium Plus and Deep. It can be applied as often as desired for a tailor-made make-up result and may be used all over the face or on specific areas, either on its own, or under or over foundation.
