Nedbank has partnered with The Brave Collective as the official headline sponsor for its 2025 flagship event, Fortune Favours the Brave. Taking place on 8 August at The Forum in Bryanston, the event will gather women from across industries for a day of dialogue, learning and leadership.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to financial empowerment, offering a space for bold conversations around money, visibility and long-term wealth creation.
A platform for women to lead with courage
Now in its seventh year, Fortune Favours the Brave has become one of South Africa’s leading empowerment events for women. The 2025 edition will welcome 250–300 attendees, ranging from executives and entrepreneurs to creatives, financiers and changemakers.
The day’s programme is designed to challenge traditional narratives around success and to encourage women to take brave action in all areas of life. With inspiring keynote speakers and intimate breakaway sessions, the focus is on self-worth, net worth and building powerful networks.
Keynotes designed to spark personal breakthroughs
Two headline talks will set the tone for the day. The first explores the idea of rebuilding after adversity, showing how strength and self-worth can be redefined from the inside out. The second dives into the role of fear as fuel — uncovering how courage is often found in the moments we least expect.
Breakaway sessions that turn ideas into action
The event includes two themed breakout sessions that offer practical, in-depth guidance:
Brave Wealth looks at the psychology of money and how women can overcome limiting beliefs. The session focuses on developing financial confidence not only through earning, but through risk-taking, intentional investing and rethinking what success really looks like.
Brave Visibility focuses on personal branding and the power of presence. Attendees will explore how to build influence, own their voice, and step into more visible, authentic leadership roles — both professionally and personally.
A shared mission to build long-term value
For both Nedbank and The Brave Collective, this is about more than a once-off moment. It’s a long-term investment in creating credible, inclusive platforms that support financial autonomy, generational wealth and emotional resilience.
This year’s event is centred on participation, not just presence. It offers a space for women to grow every part of their lives — financially, professionally and personally — with bravery at the core.
