Looking for a great outdoor escape ? We’ve found three great winter farmers’ markets that are perfect for a crafty day out.

Bamboo Farmers Market, Johannesburg 

If you are looking for organic fair in a trendy location, this one is for you. The market boasts stalls selling fresh produce, farm milk and butter, free-range eggs, preservative-free bread, fair-trade coffee, and more.

It’s situated at the Bamboo Centre in Melville, where you’ll also find stores stocking all sorts of fantastic items from decor to wellness products and more. You’ll also be able to pop into The Service Station for a bite to eat once you are done shopping.

Shongweni Farmers’ Market, KwaZulu-Natal

Located just off Kassier Road in Hillcrest, Durban, this festive market showcases the best craft, food and drink that sunny KZN has to offer, from locally handcrafted woodwork and jewellery, to freshly-baked rye bread.
